Luxury hotel Conrad Manila opens at Seaside Blvd
With an amazing view of the sea—on all its floors—the new Conrad Manila at the MOA complex in Pasay City earns the title as the new best hotel by Manila Bay. The hulking structure shaped like a cruise ship is just as sleek on the inside and comes complete with the modern amenities that a leisure or business traveler would ever want. It’s definitely the new luxury hotel to stay in when in Manila.
On June 15, Wednesday, Conrad Manila opens its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning. The public finally gets to find out what it’s like to stay in the hotel’s 347 rooms and suites and relish the well-curated buffet at its Brasserie on 3 restaurant and China Blue modern Chinese restaurant by superstar chef Jereme Leung.
Expected to grace the event are Elizabeth Sy, President at SM Hotels & Conventions Corp.; Martin Rinck, Executive Vice President and President, Asia Pacific for Hilton Worldwide; and Harald Feurstein, Conrad Manila General Manager.
The formal opening of Conrad Manila, however, will be in September (after ghost month August).
Conrad Manila is the first international luxury hotel venture of the SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) of the Sy family. Other hotels of the company are homegrown brands like the heritage Taal Vista Hotel, upscale Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu, Pico Sands Hotel in Hamilo Coast, and Park Inn by Radisson in Davao, and Park Inn in Clark, Pampanga.
It is the newest property under Conrad Hotels & Resorts, an international brand of luxury hotels and resorts owned and operated by Hilton Worldwide.
The hotel is located at the Mall of Asia Complex. It sits on the two-floor, high-end S Maison, which has Starbucks and, on June 15, two more dining places: Uma Uma Ramen and cocktail bar Horse’s Mouth. Soon, S Maison will also be offering posh retail stores, restaurants, and SM theater’s Director’s Club Experience.
“It’s not your typical high-rise hotel, but it’s really more of a sprawling structure with all the de luxe amenities,” says Mica Cordero, Conrad Manila’s Marketing and Communications Manager. “It’s a destination especially with that resort feel.”
